1st Day @ Carlyle Office

Nov 16th'10:
Well, this was our first time visit to the Carlyle office and we woke u fairly early to get ready. We were given all the desired info to reach the office from our Onsite manager, which was nice.We took a cab from our Suites to reach Vienna metro station, it took 25 mins to cover a distance of 6kms and this made us think about our Bengaluru traffic, though people still dont honk what come may.We reached Vienna Station around 8.15am, there was a little chaos in getting our Smart Trip card and all of them seemed to be in hurry. The fat ladies disappeared and the city had Slim and fit ladies all around dressed smartly to work.

We got down at Federal Triangle station after crossing 12-14 stops and the metro was a comfortable ride. We walked 3 escalators up and managed to reach the office, though the Tacoma rains followed us in DC :), we met our onsite manager and she introduced us to other Onsite colleagues. The Carlyle office occupies the 2nd and 3rd floor at 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue. The building is beautiful with shinning Green Granites on the wall and mirror reflecting Brass handles and elevators. The Carlyle office was painted in white with brass handles giving a richness to it.We ended our work at 5pm and reached back to Candlewood suites in traffic (unlike of US) but this is DC.

  1. You are seeing the other part of US. Away from the serene silence of countryside Tacoma, you are now in the hush bush of WDC city. Enjoy maadi!
