Dec 01st'10:
It had rained last nite and early morning while we were leaving to work, interestingly temperature drops here when it rains so it felt as if it was bengaluru weather with rains around.
We got work done and for lunch we were excited as new cuisine waiting to be tried ;),Amit (our client) had tried almost all food joints around DC hence we had 2 options either Cuban Restaurant or Zaytinya. We choose Zaytinya as it was more options for vegeteranians and this restaurant was an innovative place serving Turkish, Lebanese and Greek cuisine. This was a good chance for us to build a rapport with the customer and we didnt miss out, talking over Hummus with Flat bread dipped in Olive oil we got to know more abt Amit as a person and how hard its for him to find an indian girl to settle with him here. I chose the Apricot nectar as drink to sip on an and it was delicious thick and natural, rest of the dishes were of small portion and these are called Mezze hence i chose the Horta,Amit the Falafels and Vijesh Seasoned mushrooms.Next to be ordered was Seared Salmons, Vijesh chose Duck breast and Kolokithokeftedes (zuchini patties) ,the lunch was different and i loved it.We ended the lunch with Turkish Delight dessert. We walked back in windy and chilly weather, it was a great time and day ended on a positive note.
Apricot nectar sounds delicious :)
ReplyDeleteBengaluru weather is almost similar to what you guys have now. Cold, chilly, but no rains yet ;)
